Reviews
Visited Le Pavilion in NYC and had Emma as our server. The ambiance is modern yet inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening. Emma's service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive. The menu, a delightful fusion of classic and contemporary, did not disappoint. The flavors were well-balanced, each dish a testament to culinary expertise. Overall, a pleasant experience that I'd recommend to those seeking a tasteful dining adventure in the city.
This was the first Michelin starred restaurant my wife and I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. We made a reservation for lunch and were promptly seated, even though we were late (the entrance was a bit difficult to find).
This dining experience was for my birthday, and when we arrived to our table, I was met with a hand-written birthday message on a Le Pavillon postcard at my seat. Each of the staff wished me a happy birthday, and a few shook my hand, congratulating me on making it to 25 😂
And this was the general vibe of Le Pavillon. It isn't stuffy (although we were surrounded my very obviously wealthy individuals conducting business lunches), and while the staff is attentive, they don't hover, nor do they feel stiff.
My wife and I each chose the 3-course tasting menu (which for lunch is $93/person) and though each course was divine.
Our appetizers were phenomenal, the entrees blew us away, and the desserts were the perfect balance of haute pastry and that satisfying sweetness you're looking for in a dessert.
On multiple occasions, we found ourselves staring at one another with goofy smiles on our faces due to the depth and complexity of the flavors we were being met with.
I've been to fine dining restaurants before, but none have truly met my expectations. I remarked to my wife when we were leaving the beautiful restaurant, "this is exactly what I wanted from a Michelin starred restaurant."
If you're having second thoughts about trying Le Pavillon... don't.
Had a reservation for 9:30, but they were running a little behind. We went the bar to get a drink and our table was available shortly after. Lots of great choices on the menu- seafood, meat but also vegetarian options. All the dishes that came out were not only delicious, but also nicely presented. Service was friendly and professional - could have been a bit more polished at times, but nothing to really complain about. A beautiful dinner and will be back.
The service was so good, they memorized all of our names, allergies, and the occasion and even hand wrote a card congratulating my brother in his graduation. The food is incredible, I went for lunch and had the 3 course meal and everything I ate was delicious, one of the best steaks I had and would highly recommend. The ambience alone makes it worth it.
Superb delectable vegan and vegetarian menus with a wide range of options. Excellent sauces, vinaigrettes and vegetables made with incredible care and detail to flavor. The deserts were a superb finish including a vegan meringue! Wow. The service is impeccable, friendly and an ideal spot for a special occasion. Must go for visitors and for locals this will be a regular. Oh and the bread basket comes with a Normandie butter that is imported !!
Amazing. I first found the place two years ago. I randomly searched restaurants near grand central and luckily I found it. At that time I was saying the food is better than some of two stars restaurants I had. And yes I was right it got one star on the Michelin guide soon after. Always happy to come back.
Le Pavillon will always be a go-to Michelin star experience for me personally and as my number one recommendation in NYC. Jon, Renata, Harold and the team go above and beyond in their service, excellence, detail and dining experience. The food is incredible and the atmosphere is perfect - make sure to walk through the garden, gaze at the chandelier & order the noisette! 🥂
New tradition, enjoy at least one Michelin star restaurant each time I am in NY. Not sure how to describe how excellent this place is. The level of attention to detail in food, service, atmosphere, etc.... is a level you don't experience other places.
